On December 14, 1986 Burt Rutan's unusual Voyager aircraft made its historical take-off from Mojave airfield. The crew consisted of two pilots - ex-military Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager. Nine days later the airplane made the landing at the same aerodrome. This flight was the first non-stop and non-refueling flight around the World. |
