Bergerpanzer 38 had no armament. Special equipment consisted of a 2-ton crane that was installed on the sides of the body and when disassembled it was attach to the left side of the vehicle. A 5-ton winch was fitted inside. The crew consisted of two men. The vehicle could evacuate tanks and SPGs with weight up to 18 tons.
