The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-3 was a Soviet fighter aircraft of World War II. The first production MiG-3 rolled off the assembly line on December 20, 1940. Pokryshkin was the great tactician of the Soviet Air Force during the World War II. Pokryshkin started the war flying the MiG-3 fighter, in which he scored almost twenty victories.
