The interceptor La-250 armed with 275A air-to-air-missiles initially planned as the basis of distant interception system. The aircraft development program started in 1953. The first test flight carried out in 1956. The craft had lowered radome design. In 1959 the aircraft design became morally obsolete and the development program was canceled.
