That"s Zvezda 1:35 scale self-propelled artillery unit Jagdpanzer IV.
The model size 24,2 cm
Box in the traditional style of Zvezda, bright and colorful, patterned. The box includes 3 sprues, at all 312 parts. The kit is cleanly molded in brown plastic. The plastic model kit includes parts of hull, small parts, vinyl tracks and decal on 2 variants. Instrustion is laid out like most other diecast Zvezda kits.
Historical information:
The Jagdpanzer IV, Sd.Kfz. 162, was a tank destroyer based on the Panzer IV chassis built in three main variants. As one of the casemate-style turretless Jagdpanzer ("Hunting tank") designs, it was developed against the wishes of Heinz Guderian, the inspector general of the Panzertruppen, as a replacement for the Sturmgeschutz III (StuG III). Guderian objected against the needless, in his eyes, diversion of resources from Panzer IV tank production, as the Stug III and Sturmgeschutz IV were still more than adequate for their role. |
