The first sample of Fokker E.IV took air in November 1915. The serial production started at the Fokker factory in Schwerin in February 1918. The Fokker E.IV fighters entered service in March 1918. The famous aces of the World War I piloted the Fokker E.IV (Oswald Boelcke, Max Immelmann). In total 49 Fokker E.IV were built in period february-March 1916.
