Sd.Kfz.10 Demag DAK
The DEMAG answered to the specification for a light and fast cross-country vehicle. It was developed by DEMAG company in Wetter/Ruhr under the designation leichter Zugkraftwagen 1t (Sd.Kfz.10) Typ D7. From 1938 to 1944 around 17.500 vehicles were built. Production contracts also went to other companies in Germany as well as during the war to several car manufactures in France.
The Sd.Kfz.10 served mainly as standard towing vehicle for the 3.7 cm and 5 cm PaK, the 2 cm FlaK and the 7.5 cm light infantry gun as well as the corresponding ammunition trailers. In the rocket artillery it was the towing vehicle for the 15 cm-, 21cm-, 28cm- and 32cm- Nebelwerfer.
