During WWII the German army used many kinds of vehicles. One of the more famous ones is the Krupp truck developed in 1929 on the basis of good experience with the L3 H63, a cross-country truck equipped with a 4-cylinder air-cooled engine. The development was finished in 1930, and this model was produced in series as the type L2 H43. The truck was finished in 1930 with a more powerful engine and designated L2 H143. It was capable of speed up to 70 km/h. It also featured a unique 6x4 independent suspension on coil springs with rear 4-wheel drive. This type was manufactured for 6 years and served as personnel carriers and gun tractors. There vehicles were introduced into the Wehrmacht and other units to provide mobility during WWII. Approximately 7.000 Krupp Protz light trucks were sent to the battlefronts of France, Poland and Russia.
This scale model kit is for the gun towing model.
