In 1913 the AVRO company designed new double-seat AVRO 504 for the training of military pilots. The aircraft was equipped with two cockpits with double control unit - for trainee and for instructor. In the beginning of WWII AVRO turned out to be the ideal reconnaissance plane, and couple of 9 kg bombs have turned him into a bomber. The aircraft was license built in Australia, Canada, USA, Egypt and Japan.
