The book is devoted to the history of an operation conducted during the WWII closing stages. At that time the 3rd and the 2nd Ukrainian Fronts left wing troops in the course of smashing offensive together with Bulgarian, Romanian and Yugoslav units defeated the main assets of German Heeresgruppe "Mitte" and quite liberated Hungary, Southern part of Czechoslovakia and Eastern part of Austria with the capital Vienna from German troops. The book contains over 130 photographs, a map of combat operations and colored drawings of combat materiel.
